A Super Simple Extract

This post is going to be short, sweet and will give you a basic idea of how to create your own simple extract:

  1. 1. Acquire kratom leaf
  2. 2. Soak kratom leaf in clean 80 proof alcohol/water (vodka). Mason jar, or big glass jar is ideal
  3. 3. Let sit for 3 days, sealed in shade, temperature controlled. Shake several times daily
  4. 4. Strain all powder out of solution and set aside
  5. 5. Dry alcohol alkaloid solution on a glass tray
  6. 6. Scrape up with sharp razor

It is that simple to make a quick resin extract. Although it may not retain 100% of its potency, it is an easy way to consume kratom and increase the potency of regular leaf.

The Perks of White Vein Kratom

White vein kratom is great, that is, if you know how to use it. A lot of people tend to dislike this type of kratom, stating that it tends to be weak. However, through experience, I believe that people who say this haven’t quite gotten a feel for white veins.

This type of kratom is very unique in its effects in comparison to other types of kratom, but can be an extremely useful variety of kratom to have around the house. Let me explain why.

As I mentioned briefly, effects of white vein are quite unlike anything else in the kratom family, and are often hard to detect for new users. I know this because many of my friends once felt this way, until I brought them to the light side by convincing them to use it for a few weeks. Here were their results.

Of the three friends which I have convinced to take white vein strains of kratom regularly, all three of them, without my suggestion, told me independently that they felt way more productive while they were taking it. One of them even refuses to take any other type of kratom until after 6pm or on off days now.

While this kind of relates to productivity in a way, the energetic effects were pronounced after a few days of use. And one of my three friends, one has completely cut out any caffeine products besides the occasional soft drink from his diet; pretty cool eh?

While two of my friends mentioned that their level of focus was improved to me, the other hasn’t said anything about it yet, but I will assume he will in time, and I don’t want to interfere with his judgment on the matter.

I have personally experienced this effect first-hand a numerous amount of times, and I’ve even got a combo of white vein kratom, an energy drink and phenylpiracetam (a nootropic), for when I’ve absolutely got to get something difficult done, and it works like a charm.

Another thing that is great about this type of kratom is that it tends to build much less of a tolerance in comparison to a lot of others, making its effects stay more potent over a longer period of time.

For anyone who is skeptical about the effects of white vein kratom, I highly urge you to give it a shot, what do you have to lose? If you’re interested in taking up the challenge, I suggest you try this strain. It is my current personal favorite.

Also, don’t hesitate to send me a message if you have any other effects, either good or bad, to add to the list that you have noticed from taking white vein strains of a long period of time, definitely let me know.

Kratom Color and Drying Method

Knowing a few Indonesian kratom farmers and suppliers well, I’ve learned a lot about the process of growing, harvesting and drying kratom, but something that struck me as really interested the other day is the drying process and coloration of kratom. Something that most people have very little understanding of.

To start off, there are two primary types of kratom drying techniques: Shade drying, and sun drying. Although both can in certain cases be good, shade drying typically reserves the most alkaloid potency and keeps the plant a nice green color. However, sun drying also has its uses and can create different effects depending upon the strain that is being dried. You’ll know if your kratom was sun dried, if it has a deep tan or slightly brown color.

These different drying techniques result in different effects, and in a lot of cases, sun drying can reduce the likelihood of wobbles. Food for thought. The Unofficial Guide to Buying Kratom (at a Good Price)

Even after all of the recent anti-kratom propaganda that has been spread by the uninformed or deliberately misinforming media, thousands upon thousands of people each month are still interested in buying kratom. While there will always be a group of people who are willing to take so-called “risks” when trying these compounds, those who buy kratom regularly are of a completely different breed.

This article will be about how to find good kratom at a good price, and without damaging kratom’s currently tenuous reputation.

Tip 1: Never Buy Kratom at “Headshops”

Although this is one of the most important tips for those who want to buy kratom, so many people around the US and Europe still purchase from these institutions. Almost every reason people find to ban kratom is because it is available in these shops alongside dangerous research drugs and synthetic cannabinoids. In fact, the first wave of anti-kratom legislature across states occurred because kratom was incorrectly added to the anti “bath salt” acts, lumping this natural herb with lethal and untested compounds.

Besides legality issues, the other reason you should buy kratom at these shops is because it is ridiculously expensive. Just a week ago, I saw a pack of 6 kratom capsules being sold at an MSRP of $25 dollars. With a little bit of forethought, you could easily buy a minimum of two ounces of kratom powder for the same price and create at least 50 massive ‘00’ capsules for the same cost.

When these factors are considered, there is no reason why anyone should purchase kratom from these institutions.

Tip 2: Buy from Time-Tested Vendors

Although new and great kratom vendors set up shop frequently, they are a vast minority when you consider the new and awful kratom vendors that also hit the market. The best way to make sure you are getting a high quality product at a good cost is to go with vendors that have stood the test of time. If you’re looking to buy in quantities less than half of a kilo, there are plenty of great small-size vendors that you can purchase kratom from.

Tip 3: Ask Around

For those of you who haven’t bought kratom and have been surfing the web looking for a good vendor, the best advice that I can give you is to ask people you know who have tried kratom. If you don’t know any people, there are plenty of online communities that will be willing to help you out. However, it is important to beware of shills who are only looking to promote one brand, vendor or company.

Finding a good kratom vendor is one of the best investments that you can make if you intend to use kratom long term, for reasons like pain or anxiety. The best way to do that is to try out several reputable vendors and strains that you think will fit what you want to get out of kratom. This process may not be instant, but it is absolutely worth it.

A Useful Tip: Kratom for Muscle Soreness

Although many people talk about using kratom for pain, hardly anyone talks about using it for muscle soreness. Because I have been working out recently, I’ve realized just how much kratom can help. After an intense leg workout, the next day I can hardly get up my staircase, but taking kratom took just about all the soreness away.

Anyone who works in a physical job, or does heavy physical activities should always keep kratom in the medicine cabinet. It is a life-saver.

Kratom Potentiating an Alcohol Hangover

Although I’ve been taking kratom for many years now, mixing kratom and alcohol has never been my thing. Sadly, I made this mistake last night and luckily I’m now feeling well enough to tell the tale.

I’ll preface this by saying that I’m fairly healthy, and after having drunk plenty of alcohol in my life, I know that I am quite tolerant to hangovers – all of that changed last night. Although I only drank 4 “units” of alcohol, as they would say in a health class, I haven’t had a hangover this bad since my sophomore year. Mixing kratom does something pretty gnarly when it comes to hangovers. Despite feeling great last night, this morning I woke up with nausea and puking to find that none of the kratom powder I had taken was fully digested, it was like projectile-ing sand and bile. My headache put me out of commission for the first half the day, and all I could do was lay down and watch 80’s movies. Although I might have given a little too much information, It was that kind of day.

I highly suggest against combining the two.

The Top 5 Kratom Strains for Euphoric Effects

I’ve heard many kratom users frequently remark how simple things were in the early 2000’s in the kratom world. Typically, the only strains you would encounter would be “super”, “premium”, “maeng da”. Typically, these judgments of quality were simply based upon the euphoric and painkilling capability of the strain in question.

Nowadays, however, it’s not as simple as it seems with strains like: Indo, Borneo, Bali, Thai, Maeng Da, Vietnam, Sunda and Malaysian, it is easy for a new user to get confused quickly, not to mention that when combined with different vein types for all three, there are a hell of a lot of different options.

For these reasons, finding the most euphoric kratom can be a little bit trickier than in years past, however, there is still hope.

Below, I have outlined what are commonly thought of as the most euphoric kratom strains:

• Maeng Da • Bali • Borneo • Indo • Sunda

With the exception of maeng da and sunda, almost all of these strains are sedating, which poses an interesting question, “Why do sedating strains tend to be more euphoric?” The answer to this is quite simple when you consider the alkaloids that make kratom so effective, and the easy answer to this question is 7-hydroxymitragynine. Any of the most euphoric kratom strains you encounter will have high levels of 7-OHM, because it is responsible for at least 75% of the psychological effects of kratom, as well as pain-killing capability.

Strains like maeng da are an exception, because not only do they contain high levels of this alkaloid, but they also contain separate alkaloids responsible for their stimulating effects. This is the reason why maeng da has long been considered the most potent and euphoric strain of kratom.

Which to Choose?

For those of you looking for a highly euphoric strain that promotes high levels of energy and function, maeng da is ideal. For those who are looking for a strain that is euphoric but won’t keep you up at night, bali, borneo and indo are ideal. Each of these different strains are great for their own uses, but misusing the strain, like taking maeng da at night, can have some consequences on your sleeping ability.

While typically considered fairly euphoric, Sunda strains are quite unique in that they tend to have a large spectrum of effects depending upon vein color and supplier, ranging from sedating to energetic. For this reason, like any other strain, it is always good to start at a lower dose and during the daytime without any responsibilities in order to see how the strain will affect you.

Although I’ve listed some of the most frequently euphoric strains of kratom, almost any kratom variety can be euphoric if grown under the right conditions and at the right age. For this reason, a huge part of finding the most euphoric strain is testing out different suppliers and vein types. Kratom doesn’t hit everyone in the same way, and what may be euphoric to one may not be euphoric to the other, so doing a bit of groundwork may be necessary.

How I Discovered Kratom

Although I’ve talked about kratom frequently, I’ve only told a few people who I actually discovered this awesome plant. About 6 years ago, I woke up in extreme pain in my stomach, nausea, vomiting, the whole nine yards. I was too delirious to know what was going on, too delirious to even realize that I should probably go to the hospital. Luckily, after some of the confusion wore off, I managed to drag myself to the hospital, and realized I had appendicitis. Of course, I went in for surgery and was healthy enough to leave the next day.

However, the painkillers I was given didn’t even touch the pain. Hearing of my problem, a friend came over and said he had something for me to try. He made me a disgusting tea, feeling like a movie character in a native American hut being force fed disgusting medicine. Luckily, I managed to get it all down and relax. Within 15 minutes, I felt an odd sensation of “glowing”, I literally felt the pain leave in real time, which is something that everyone should experience.

Obviously that experience had an impact on me and since then I’ve been telling everyone the “good news”. I will leave you by saying that anyone in pain needs to try this plant, it truly is a game-changer.
